Boreal Leaf is an experimental electronics project of multi-instrumentalist Krzysztof Siwkowski. His first instrument was the accordion, after which he switched to the piano. Over time, he combined these instruments with various stringed instruments. In the days of the first internet modems, access to digital audio processing was very tempting and offered many new options. For a long time his main instrument was the electric guitar, alternating with the acoustic guitar.

Through the work of artist such as Akira Yamaoka and Ryuichi Sakamoto, Krzysztof discovered the advantages of electronic music, which he embraces to this day.
